The class with the most ticket purchased by parents will be awarded a pizza party!
As of our Wednesday e-news deadline, Mr. B’s Kinder class in Room 2 had a firm lead with more than 20 tickets purchased. Will the older classes be bested by this new crop of enthusiastic families? Or will Room 2 be matched by Room 6, Room 8, or Room 12, who have also bought more than 14 tickets. In the upper grades, Room 18 is putting in a solid effort, but we would love to see more of you there. Any class can still win it with last minute sales. Come join the fun!

Update from Palo Alto PiE

Partners in Education and Palo Verde thanks everyone who donated to the PiE campaign during this school year! Given upcoming budget cuts, the funds raised by PiE this year will be more important than ever at our school. PiE supporters are taking a stand and working hard to keep our schools strong, and PiE appreciates each and every one of you! Bolstered by your support, we had a very strong finish to the campaign, earned our $50,000 challenge grant, and will present a check to the district at a school board meeting in March.

Thank you Palo Verde families. We received donations from close to 40 Palo Verde families in the last few weeks of the campaign! With this we were able to get our participation numbers up to our goal!

Thank you to all the volunteers who put in so much time! It really made a difference. Thank you teachers and staff for all your help and donations.

The Annual Palo Verde Notecard Fundraiser is Here!

As in previous years, each child designs his/her own personal notecard/notepads which you may order and purchase.  The kids are so proud of their artwork and parents always love how they turn out!  Plus, they come in handy and make great

who would like to create one.  Please return the order form with payment to school no later than MONDAY, FEB 6TH.  No late orders please! If you have any questions, please contact Karen Yu at 493-6999 or yufamily5@sbcglobal.net

Science Night at Palo Verde, MP Room: Medical Mysteries

Please join us in the MP room on Wednesday, February 8, from 6:00-7:45 PM for Palo Verde’s science night.

Students become “doctor-detectives” who solve medical mysteries while they work at hands-on activity stations to examine pretend-patients. As the students gather information about what made the patients sick, they listen to their own hearts, measure their breath flow, test their eyesight, and are challenged to build a healthy meal. This exciting event introduces elementary school students to the field of medical science and to healthy behaviors.
