The Traffic Safety Team is Looking for 2-3 Co-Chairs for 2013-14
We are looking for parent volunteers who are passionate about promoting traffic safety around our school and encouraging walking, biking and carpooling to school. You do not have to direct traffic or people. Palo Verde’s traffic safety team also acts as a link between the City of Palo Alto and the school to promote and encourage traffic safety around the school. Dining for Dollars
Join Palo Verde Families at California Pizza Kitchen or a flavorful fund raising event! Just bring the flyer that will be provided in your Friday folder the week before and give it to your server and 20% of your check will be donated back to our school! This includes dine in, carry out and all beverages. The offer is good all day Thursday October 25 grab some friends for lunch or take your whole family for dinner.

Baseball Equipment Donation Program
Palo Alto Little League will be holding a baseball equipment donation event on Saturday, April 13th (8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.) at Middlefield Ballpark (3672 Middlefield Road). Equipment such as mitts, batting gloves, helmets, bats, balls, cleats, catchers gear, or bags will be accepted. Donated items will be sent to a charitable organization who will distribute the equipment to underprivileged communities.

Palo Verde Box Top Classroom Competition
STEP 1: Start collecting Box Tops from now until Friday, May 10, 2013
STEP 2: Submit** your box tops to your teacher or the Box Top box in the main office.
STEP 3: The classroom that turns in the most box tops gets an ice cream party in May.
** Parents: Please place box tops in a Ziploc bag or envelope. Each bag should contain 50 – 10¢ box tops (or $5 worth of box tops). If a Ziploc bag has less than 50 – 10¢ box tops, please write how many 10¢ box tops are in the bag. Do not confuse the 10¢ box tops with bonus box tops worth more. These are often found on bulk items from Costco. If you turn your box tops at the office, please make sure and mark your child’s classroom number on the bag(s). Please do not turn in expired Box Tops or Labels for Education.
