Palo Verde Book Fair Is Coming
The annual book fair will be September 21 – September 25, just in time for back to school and early holiday shopping. This is a fabulous event when Books Inc. sets up a store for us in the Palo Verde multi-purpose room. Books perfect for our elementary students, siblings and parent. As you might expect, it is a fundraiser for the PTA. Please email Tina Mondragon (tinamondragon at aol.com) &/or Martha Mitchell (marthamitchell at hotmail.com) with any questions.
5 Reasons to Visit the Book Fair:
1. Teachers will have their wish lists for books so you can purchase one as a gift for your child’s classroom.
2. Books Inc. staff will always be available to answer questions and help you find great books.
3. Proceeds from the books fair support the school library and other needs.
4. It’s a great place to get gifts!
5. It’s fun!

From Last Week
Welcome Back Picnic!
Please come join fellow Palo Verde families for a fun, casual get together on Friday evening, August 28, 6-7:30pm. Pack up a picnic dinner for your family and dine with all of us “al fresco”. The PTA will provide dessert, drinks, and name tags for everyone. Parents have a chance to reconnect with old pals and make new friends at the school. New families can chat with some experienced “old-timers”. Kids run around with each other after hours (and then sleep really well that night). See you there! Would you like to help? Contact Heather Schultz, hschultz (at) hotmail (dot) com.
