We hope you had a wonderful and relaxing summer break! As the new school year approaches, we are excited to welcome you back to Palo Verde Elementary.
To help kick off the school year, we have some important events and information to share:
1. PTA Back to School Registration
To make the transition back to school smooth and stress-free, we’ve provided a registration site on Future Fund. You can access it here: Future Fund Registration. This packet is your one-stop-shop for everything related to getting back into the school groove. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s inside:
- Donations: Your contributions make a big difference! They support various programs, activities, and resources that enhance our kids’ educational experience. Curious about the allocation of these funds? Please refer to the attached pie chart for a detailed breakdown.
- PTA Membership: Joining the PTA gives you a voice in shaping the school’s direction. Plus, you’ll be part of a community dedicated to making things better for our students.
- Volunteering: If you’ve got time and energy to spare, we’d love your help. Volunteering is a fantastic way to be directly involved in school activities and events.
2. PTA Back to School Popsicle Social
The PTA is hosting a Back to School Popsicle Social on Wednesday, August 14th, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Palo Verde Elementary campus. This event is a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to meet classmates, reconnect with friends, and get to know the PTA Board. We hope you can join us for some fun and community spirit!
Please note that class placements will be sent out via email at 4:00 pm on the same day, so be sure to check your inbox for this important information.
3. Donate to PiEToday, more than ever before, the Palo Alto Unified School District relies on community support through Partners in Education (PiE) to maintain its outstanding schools. Donations to PiE provide our schools with funding for the enrichment and support that make a difference for every child in our schools every day. Our suggested donation amount is $1,500 per student, but every dollar makes a difference. PiE and PTA are integral partners with us in our mission to fulfill the PAUSD Promise. Your donations help us provide rich educational experiences for every student.
