Toy Swap Saturday, December 6th, 9:30-11:30 am

It’s almost here! Kids, start sorting through your *age-appropriate* toys, games and DVDs that you’d like to swap. Parents, if you donate a lot of DVDs your child might bring home many small toys; you may want to set some limits.
The event will be held in the MP room. Doors will open at 9:30 am, but only to exchange toys for tickets. You will not be able to “shop” for toys with your tickets until 10 am. The ticket values are the same as last year: 1 ticket per action figure or matchbox car, 2 for puzzles, 3 for board games, crafts and mid-size toys, 4 for DVDs and large toys.
There will also be hot chocolate for sale, with proceeds going to the Green Team. All leftover toys at the end of the swap will be donated to Goodwill.

The Shoebox Project

What Is The Shoebox Project?
The Shoebox Project for Shelters is a charitable initiative that collects small gifts that are packaged in shoeboxes, and distributes them to Womens Shelters (including the Asian Women’s Shelter) just before the holidays.
These shoeboxes brighten the holiday season and let the women (often mothers with young children) know they are special and not forgotten.
How Can I Help?
We hope you will make a shoebox gift!

What Should I Put In My Shoebox?
Suggested Items:
· Socks, scarf, facecloth or sweatshirt
· Full bottles of personal care products- shampoo, body lotion, body wash
· Soap, hand wipes
· Make-up (Lipstick, lip balm, nail polish)
· Nice pen and paper
· Hair accessories (brush, hair ties, clips)
· Gift cards (coffee shops, drug stores, movie theatre, grocery stores etc.)
· Chocolate, candy such as gum, mints
· Simple jewelry (earrings or bracelet)
· An inspirational quote or note
