Palo Verde PTA and School News

New This Week

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2014 3:00-5:00pm

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Harvest and International Food Fair on Sunday, October 19th from 3:00-5:00pm.   We will be celebrating the harvest season and ‘journey around the world’ with our passport to different countries sampling food, walking the Cakewalk, and playing games out on the blacktop and grass.  We will have a face painter, balloons and lots of fun!  Palo Verde students who dress up in their Halloween costumes or an International outfit will receive a gift at the Fair.

Make Time for Fun – Purchase Fall Party Book Tickets at Harvest & International Food Fair
Tickets for Fall Party Book events go on sale on Sunday, October 19 at the Fall Harvest & International Food Fair.  The complete catalog of events was circulated in last week’s Friday folder. Check out descriptions of Kinder Donuts & Coffee, Winter Crafts Party, Chai & Samosas, a Progressive Dinner Party, Moms & Margaritas, and so much more! Fair attendees will get first crack at the tickets; cash, check or credit card (Visa/Mastercard) will secure a ticket on the spot! For those who cannot attend, there is an absentee purchase form in the back of the Fall Party Book catalog.

Newly Added Party!
We have a new event to add to the Fall Party Book catalog – Indian High Tea with Ayurveda Talk. The event is an Indian snack cooking demonstration where some common, easy and delicious snack recipes will be shared and cooked for the group. The snacks will be served with different types of teas. There will also be a brief talk on “Ayurveda – living naturally” by Preeti Gupta, who is a certified Ayurvedic Consultant practicing in the Bay area. Ayurveda is the traditional Hindu system of medicine, which is based on the idea of balance in bodily systems and uses diet, herbal treatment, and yogic breathing. The party will take place on Sunday, February 22nd from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. and is open to 20 adults at $35 per ticket.

A Few Changes to Your Party Catalog
Please take note of changes to the print version of the Fall Party Book catalog: A) Unfortunately, the Chocolate & Champagne Party has been canceled. B) The Kinder Donut & Coffee Party will take place on SUNDAY, October 26th and Christine Moon will co-host for Rooms 2 and 3. C) The Foothills Mini-Camp will take place on OCTOBER 26th.
