Spring cleaning? Don’t throw out your old housewares and appliances!
Palo Verde is hosting a Goodwill Fill-a-Truck fundraiser on Saturday, May 7th. We’re accepting gently used housewares and clothing, electronics (working or not), sports equipment, toys and books. Drop off your donations in front of the office starting on April 11th, or bring it all on May 7th from 9am to 3pm. Help on the day of the event is crucial. Please email joslynml at hotmail dot com if you can volunteer for an hour shift.

How to Reduce Junk Mail
Did you know that the average adult receives 41 pounds of junk mail a year? That’s about 16 pieces a week, almost half of which are tossed in the recycling bin unopened. Help reduce this unnecessary waste with these websites:

https://www.dmachoice.org
 (by the Direct Marketing Association)
(A partnership between credit agencies to reduce credit card and insurance offers)

There are many other options out there, but these two are a good start!
